Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Daily Football Games (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you play our daily football puzzle games. We aim to collect only what we need to run the service and to be clear about how it is used.
Information we collect
- Account data. If you create an account, we store the email address you use for magic-link sign-in. We do not ask for or store passwords.
- Guest session identifiers. When you play without an account, we generate an anonymous identifier so your progress and streak work during your session.
- Gameplay data. We record your attempts, results, scores, lives, streaks, and which daily puzzles you have completed so the games and leaderboard function.
- Technical and usage data. Like most websites, our servers and service providers may log device, browser, approximate location (from IP), and basic usage information to keep the service secure and reliable.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- run the daily puzzles, validate answers, and compute scores server-side;
- save your streak and rank verified, signed-in players on the leaderboard;
- send magic-link emails so you can sign in;
- keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems;
- understand how the games are used so we can improve them.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage for essential purposes such as keeping you signed in, remembering anonymous guest sessions, and saving game preferences and progress on your device. Analytics and any advertising partners may also set cookies as described below. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings, though some features may stop working as expected.
Analytics
We use analytics to understand which games are played, how the site performs, and where we can improve. Analytics data is used in aggregate to make product decisions and is not used to sell your personal information.
Advertising
If we display advertising, ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. Those partners process data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Third-party services
We rely on trusted service providers to operate Daily Football Games. These may include cloud hosting and database providers that store gameplay data, an email delivery provider for magic-link sign-in, analytics, and football data providers such as API-Football that supply the player, club, and competition data behind our puzzles. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers described above, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service. Your leaderboard display, if you sign in, is visible to other players.
Data retention
We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time. We may retain limited information where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@dailyfootballgames.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Children’s privacy
Daily Football Games is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
We and our service providers may process and store data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it is protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and server-side validation to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
